Your wedding day is the day you attempt to express the inexpressible - the depth of your love and joy.  Let us fill the air with music in celebration!  

Everyone is unique and every wedding should be unique as well. In order for you to have the music you want, I need to get to know you.  I will meet with you, or speak with you on the phone if you live out of town, to discuss your musical tastes, what you like and what you don't like.  I can play music selections for you or I can send a tape of music selections for you to choose from.

I have performed at many weddings with only a violin; however, the violin may be complemented by the piano, guitar or other string instruments for a fuller sound.  I can put a group together to suit the occasion.

It is important for you to be happy with the music so be sure and put some thought into the mood you are trying to set. This is a very special day and you want to create a very special memory.

Your wedding is going to be one of the most memorable events of your life and you want it to be perfect!  Naturally, you have questions. Here are answers to some of the questions the bride and groom often ask.

Is music usually played before the ceremony?

You should plan on 15-20 minutes of music before the ceremony begins. Music can begin when the first guests sit down.  Music before the ceremony can be lively to create an upbeat atmosphere or for a quieter mood you could choose calmer, peaceful melodies.  Or perhaps you could mix the two.  The music gets your guests ready for the main event!  

How large a group do I need for the ceremony?

The size of the group depends on your personal preference and finances.  A single violinist or a duo is appropriate for a small wedding or outdoor wedding, while a trio or quartet will work well for a larger wedding.

Can I have music during the ceremony?

Some brides and grooms have special songs they would like during the ceremony.  You may arrange to have these played with violin and piano or other combinations.  The violin sounds very much like the human voice.

What about music for the recessional?

Music played as the newly married couple leaves is typically lively and upbeat and this theme can continue as the wedding party departs.

How does the bride know when to walk down the aisle?

The music should break and change from the pre-ceremony melodies right before the brides entrance.  Perhaps a special selection chosen by the bride and groom or the "Wedding March".

I’ll be having a receiving line , is music usually played during this time?

It’s personal preference.  You can arrange with our musicians to play during the receiving line.

I’d like music during the cocktail hour and reception.  What kind of music should I have?

You can contract with our musicians to play during the cocktail hour.  Light classical and popular music are appropriate.  For the reception you may want a dance band so check out THE BAND:  PICANTE!
